Lelasan x Old Division: Ground Lizard Race – A Brotherhood of Speed at Padang Galak

On 31 May 2025, the shores of Merta Sari Beach, Padang Galak, Bali were filled with the roar of custom engines and the scent of fuel and ocean breeze, as Lelasan x Old Division presented the highly anticipated Ground Lizard Race. This event wasn’t just another local race — it was a celebration of Bali’s ever-growing underground motorcycle culture. Racers, builders, and fans from across the island gathered to share their passion for custom machines and raw competition in a unique venue where the sand track added an extra layer of intensity.

Among the standout racers that day was Adyjaya04, a rider known not only for his skill but for his heart. Although he didn’t take home the victory, his presence on the track earned the respect of many. Competing in two categories, he brought two custom bikes — each one representing a different side of his racing spirit. In the FFA Tarung Bebas Custom Bike up to 400cc Non-Trail class, he raced a classic Yamaha XS650, a bold and heavy machine that echoed with vintage energy. Meanwhile, in the FFA Custom Bike under 250cc class, he rode a sleek Suzuki GSX 250cc, a refined build created by the skilled hands at Bengkel Jhon. Both machines held their own, and so did Adyjaya04 — his determination and calm focus were evident in every heat, regardless of the results.

What truly stood out was his unwavering spirit. Racing is about more than crossing the finish line first; it’s about courage, perseverance, and the connection between man and machine. Adyjaya04 embodied all of that. He represented the soul of the Ground Lizard Race: pushing limits, showing up with pride, and honoring the builders and crews that make these bikes possible. He may not have taken a trophy home, but he carried something deeper — the respect and admiration of a community that values passion over podiums.

The event was made even more special thanks to the support and involvement of several key players in the scene. Much appreciation goes out to Bengkel Jhon for the top-tier GSX build, as well as Chopper Leak, Pura Pura Motorcycle, Brux Helmet, British Riot, and Thrash Lord — each one contributing not only to the event but to the continued growth of Bali’s custom culture. Their creativity and dedication were present in every detail, from the bikes to the gear to the vibes in the paddock.

As the sun set over Padang Galak and the last engines cooled, the Ground Lizard Race closed out not just a race day, but a reminder of why this community exists: to ride, to build, to connect. And riders like Adyjaya04 remind us that victory isn’t always about winning — sometimes, it’s simply about showing up, riding hard, and doing it with heart. See you on the next race.
