KUNTHO – The Rebirth of an Underdog

A resurrected Honor 250 transformed into a Crazy Frank-inspired chopper 🔥

A forgotten Chinese-made Honor 250 has been reborn as a rebellious chopper in the spirit of Crazy Frank, thanks to the visionary work of @christoph_cycle. Named KUNTHO, this machine is a bold reinterpretation of what a custom bike can be—proving that even the overlooked can rise again as showstopping masterpieces.

Built around the stock frame of the Honor 250, the transformation begins with a striking handmade coffin-style gas tank that sets the tone for the bike’s aggressive stance. A Z-bar handlebar and a handmade king-and-queen seat wrapped in fur bring a retro flair, while details like the suicide shifter and Maltese cross mirrors nod to old-school chopper culture.

The wheels follow the classic chopper setup, with a 21-inch steel front rim paired with a Swallow Sprinter tire, and an 18-inch rear rim sporting a Firestone Deluxe Champion tire. The bike rides on a handmade springer front suspension, while the rear setup retains its original Honor 250 components. Hubs are sourced from a Yamaha SX 225, ensuring a balanced blend of style and function.

Lighting is minimal but purposeful. A repurposed power foglamp illuminates the road ahead, while a handmade rear light keeps things raw and custom. The exhaust pipes are customized from the original Honor 250 system, completing the machine’s cohesive yet rebellious look.

But KUNTHO is more than just a beautiful build—it carries a story. Chinese motorcycles entered the Indonesian market in the early 2000s, offering an affordable alternative to Japanese bikes. However, many models faded into obscurity due to poor durability. Among them, the Honor 250 stood out for being one of the few Chinese two-cylinder cruisers available. When @christoph_cycle discovered one abandoned in a shop, he saw more than just a junked ride—he saw potential.

“I envisioned a Crazy Frank-style chopper while keeping the original frame and rear suspension,” he explains. “The entire design follows a boxy aesthetic, featuring a coffin tank, Z-bars, and the 18-inch Firestone tire tucked under a custom Crazy Frank rear fender. The suicide shifter and forward controls add to the classic chopper feel. It was about giving this forgotten machine a second life.”

KUNTHO is a resurrection—a chopper with presence, history, and attitude. It stands as a tribute to the machines that time forgot and a reminder that great design can rise from anywhere.

KUNTHO isn’t just a custom—it’s a revolution on two wheels.
Proof that even the forgotten can roar back to life.
