Purple Haze – A 70s-Inspired Frisco Chopper from Gianyar

The Purple Haze is more than just a chopper—it’s a rolling tribute to the bold automotive and music culture of the 70s. Built by @kesatriangarage and conceptualized by @hardemass & @kesatriangarage, this Scorpio 225-powered machine blends Frisco-style with deep lowrider influences, bringing the rebellious spirit of that era to life.

The Build

Every detail of the Purple Haze speaks to custom craftsmanship. The frame, gas tank, and traditional T-bar handlebars are meticulously crafted by Kesatriangarage, creating a seamless design. Vans Model Purple with Glitter grips add a retro touch, while the Thailand W Shape wheels and Shinko E270 & TWS tires offer a classic chopper stance.

The front hub is from a Suzuki GT380, and the rear hub is a Yamaha AS1, perfectly combining vintage elements with modern performance. The rigid frame, paired with a Bratstyle 4.5-inch rear suspension, ensures a smooth ride while maintaining the classic lowrider look. The Peanut Split Tank enhances the Frisco chopper’s slim, aggressive profile, and the Twinport Long Pipes provide that signature chopper sound. A PU leather Bates-style saddle completes the build, keeping it period-correct while offering comfort.

The Inspiration

The Purple Haze is directly inspired by the 70s lowrider car scene, where bold colors and pinstripes ruled the streets. The deep purple paint, crafted by @kesatriangarage, is a nod to the legendary Chevy Deluxe owned by @chandra_traillerautart. The bike’s name is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix’s iconic song “Purple Haze”, which defined the spirit of the era.

The Purple Haze is a perfect blend of past and present, a chopper that carries the essence of the 70s while embracing modern craftsmanship and design.
